The Hearing Clinic is a family-owned, independent practice, and its Arvada office offers Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) for people bothered by ringing in the ears. TRT uses a relaxing sound, such as ocean noise or soft music, played at a level where you hear it and your tinnitus at the same time. Over weeks or months, this helps your brain react less to the ringing. The right plan depends on the cause of your tinnitus, how severe it is, and your hearing test results.
Owner and audiologist Dr. Robert Gardner founded the clinic and sees patients here. Hearing aids are another option, since they can make wanted sounds clearer while masking tinnitus. The Hearing Clinic has been great in helping me problem solve hearing issues. I am a musician and Cosette has been wonderful in finding just the right level so I can play my violin.
