Tinnitus clinic in Charlotte, NC

Audiology & Hearing Services of Charlotte stands out for bringing tinnitus care to you. Lenire, a device that pairs sound through wireless headphones with gentle pulses on the tongue, can be started in the clinic, at home, or by telehealth, a video visit from home. The practice's audiologists are certified Lenire providers, and board-certified audiologist Dr. Melissa Karp specializes in tinnitus treatment. Dr. Ivy Saul and Dr. Caroline Millsaps round out the team.

Care begins with a tinnitus assessment, and the device is then programmed to match your tinnitus. Other options include sound therapy, which uses soothing sound to make the ringing less noticeable, hearing aids with tinnitus features, and virtual tinnitus coaching. Hearing aids are checked with Real Ear Measurement, a quick test that makes sure they are set right for your ear. To book, call 704-412-7975 or visit 11121 Carmel Commons Blvd., Suite 150, Charlotte, NC 28226.

I recently scheduled a consultation with Dr. Melissa Karp, a specialist who focuses on treating tinnitus, after discovering her practice through Treble Health's informative YouTube videos. Notably, this appointment follows consultations with two audiologists and a doctor, none of whom offered promising solutions or substantial hope for relief. In contrast, Dr. Karp instilled confidence in her approach, assuring me that effective management of my tinnitus is achievable and outlining a plan to do so. Given my experience, I highly recommend booking an appointment with Dr. Karp to anyone struggling with tinnitus.

Caroline Millsaps did an excellent job programming my hearing aids and spending a lot of time going over different tinnitus treatments. She is a wonderful Audiologist with a ton of knowledge. I was really impressed with her professionalism, wisdom with audiology, and overall care to the patient. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Millsaps. Please go see her if you have any hearing issues you are dealing with or tinnitus related problems. Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

I've struggled off and on with tinnitus since 2016. Last month I had the pleasure of having my first appointment with Dr. Melissa Karp to discuss strategies for managing my recent tinnitus flare up and to have my first hearing check up as an adult. Within minutes of meeting Dr. Karp I knew I had found an amazing doctor and advocate for my hearing health! She is extremely patient and is a wonderful communicator. She walked me through various strategies for managing my tinnitus and the process for learning to habituate - with the goal to no longer pay attention to or "hear" my tinnitus noise. I felt such a sense of relief after that first session! Fast forward 3 weeks and I'm happy to say that the strategies ARE WORKING! In addition, Dr. Karp offers follow-up sessions (tinnitus coaching) that I definitely am taking advantage of! I am so thankful that I found Dr. Karp and count it a blessing to call her my Audiologist and friend.
