Tinnitus care is the whole focus at this Bala Cynwyd center, founded in 1993 by Dr. Gail B. Brenner and now led by audiologist Dr. Paige Wendling, AuD, who sees all patients. Dr. Brenner is board certified and has 43 years in audiology. She first trained in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) in 1994 with Dr. Pawel Jastreboff, who created the method. She also teaches an advanced tinnitus course at Salus University. In 2023 she was one of 15 tinnitus specialists chosen for early Lenire training in Dublin. She has since stepped back from seeing patients but is still involved with the practice as Founder & Clinical Advisor.
TRT pairs sound with counseling so your brain learns to tune the ringing out over time. Lenire is an FDA-approved device that pairs sound through headphones with gentle pulses on the tongue. Hearing aids can also serve as sound therapy, playing background sound that makes tinnitus less noticeable. Dr. Brenner has been featured by CBS News and AARP. Dr. Paige Wendling is excellent. Obviously knowledgeable but also extremely personable. Today was a phone follow up with her to discuss the new hearing aids (excellent) and my experience with the Lenire tinnitus retraining system. I have followed the system of gradual increased use and some definite improvement although early in the process.

My wife and I live in NJ and were so impressed with Doctor Wendling that we signed up after our virtual visit even though we will have some long trips. My wife has musical ear syndrome which is not that common along with tinnitus for 50 years. She has unrelenting music, opera, Xmas carols playing all day switching from ear to ear. We believe that Dr. Wendling will help us with MES. She has had patients in the past that have been helped and her confidence to help us was very obvious. The office day to day operations is performed by Beth. She is outstanding and has so much patience with all of my many phone calls. She is a major added to the company.
